Jump-out crisp image this!
Getting everything sharp when you are in close is not automatic, but both focus and exposure sharpness are tight. Did you use a little unsharp masking, or is this as it hit the sensor?
The contrasts are also eye-catching - the totally blurred yellow base, and the dark blue-black background. Real close up macro exposure can have that effect, and you have used it well! Nice saturation and brightness as well.
But for me, the ultimate 'goodness' of the image is in its classical composition. The stamen on the right third, the rest of the yellow on the top third, and the hint of a curve to lead one in to the image.
Minimalistic composition, with an unusual view point and subject, in bright, vivid colour.
